Medical therapeutic massage - (06)

Mechanism of Action:

Massage is a therapy that falls under mechanotherapy. Massage provides mechanical stimulation to the skin, subcutaneous connective tissue, and muscles. It increases circulation in the muscles and enhances lymphatic flow. Through local and reflex effects, it improves blood circulation and alleviates pain. The repetition of techniques (stroking, rubbing, kneading, tapping, vibration) results in the summation of mechanical stimuli, which induces physiological changes in the body similar to those caused by electrical energy. Properly performed massage, by relaxing the outermost layer of the skin, the epidermis, is one of the best regenerators of our skin. Redness in the treated area indicates increased blood flow. It has muscle-relaxing and muscle-toning effects.

Treatment Procedure:

The patient lies face down on the treatment bed with their muscles relaxed. Comfort is ensured by the face cradle on the bed. The patient remains passive during the treatment. The basic duration of NEAK-supported medical massage is 20 minutes.

Total of 20 minutes.
